Learn the Quran from the Very Beginning

If you cannot yet read a single Arabic letter, you are in exactly the right place. Beginner classes at Amaan Academy start with the foundation — the Noorani Qaida — and build gently from there, so there is never any pressure or assumed knowledge. Whether you are a parent arranging a child's first lessons or an adult finally beginning your own journey, a patient teacher meets you where you are.

What Beginners Learn, Step by Step

  • The Arabic letters (huroof) and their correct sounds
  • The short vowels, sukoon, tanween and shaddah
  • How letters join to form words
  • Reading short words and phrases
  • Reading directly from the Quran (Nazra)

Why One-on-One Is Best for Beginners

  • The teacher hears every sound and corrects it gently, before habits form
  • Shy learners practise privately, with no class to feel nervous in front of
  • The pace is yours — slower where it is hard, faster where it is easy
  • Male or female teacher, in English or Urdu

Frequently Asked Questions

I can't read Arabic at all. Can I still start?

Yes — that is exactly who beginner classes are for. You begin with the Noorani Qaida, learning the Arabic letters and their sounds from zero, with a patient one-on-one teacher who assumes no prior knowledge.

Are beginner classes for children or adults?

Both. We teach complete beginners of every age, from children aged around 4–5 to adults and reverts starting for the first time. The pace and style are tailored to each learner.

How long before I can read the Quran?

It varies, but with consistent one-on-one lessons many beginners complete the Qaida foundation in a few months and then begin reading from the Quran. Steady daily practice matters more than speed.
